ColdFusion: CF8 CHF1 and CFMX7.0.2 CHF3 released

Adobe released new cumulative hot fixes (CHF) for ColdFusion 8 and ColdFusion MX 7.0.2 today. Download CHF8000001 from Technote kb402466, and CHF7020003 from Technote kb402465.

Please have these in place when you call for support issues.

Any plans to list these hotfixes under the Hot fix list:

And the CF Support Center which still shows hot fixes from 2006 as "Whats New".

Actually, CHF7030003 is linked on the CF 7.x+ hot fix technote (17883), but I did notice CHF8000001 isn't linked anywhere -- though you can find it in a search. A request has already been submitted to the web team to update the ColdFusion Updaters page with the links. I sent a note about the "What's New" links -- thanks for the pointer. Adobe will probably create a new technote for CF8 hot fixes as well.

The CF8 installer will not include any hot fixes released after CF8 launched. The installers are frozen and not updated. However, all post CF8 (8,0,0,176276) hot fixes will be rolled into the CF8.01 Updater. So stay tuned for that release.

Can I confirm if all the hotfixes in chf1 and chf2 for cf7 are contained in chf3? i.e. if we currently have cfh2 in place, do we remove it to install chf3?

Yes all the previous bug fixes in CHF1 and CHF2 are combined in CHF3. The only exceptions are external files that need replacing -- for example, web server connectors, database drivers, cfdocument hot fix related files, etc.
